Based on the memoirs of screenwriter Herman Raucher, this American coming-of-age drama follows Raucher in his early teens during his 1942 summer vacation on Nantucket Island, where a one-sided romance with Dorothy unfolds against the backdrop of World War II.

Directed by Robert Mulligan and starring Gary Grimes (Hermie) and Jerry Houser (Oscy), with Jennifer O’Neill (Dorothy) and more.
