The History of the Louis Vuitton Concours d’Elegance
The Louis Vuitton Classic contests famously reward the most beautiful automobiles in the world. While primarily held at the Parc de Bagatelle in Paris, these events have also graced the Hurlington Club in London and Rockefeller Center in New York.
Antoine Pruned and Christian Philipson founded the Concours in 1988 with support from Automobiles Classiques magazine. Louis Vuitton became the main sponsor in 1989 and eventually took full ownership, expanding the prestigious event into England, Switzerland, Italy, and the USA.
