This original vintage French travel poster, “Lannion – La Bretagne Pittoresque,” beautifully captures the charm of Brittany in the early 20th century. Created in the elegant Art Deco style and printed in Paris by Delattre for the Chemin de Fer railway, the poster highlights the historic Breton town of Lannion and its famous Brélévenez Steps.
The artwork depicts the dramatic granite staircase of the Escalier de Brélévenez rising through flower-filled Breton houses toward the hilltop church above. With over 140 stone steps, the staircase is one of Lannion’s most recognizable landmarks and a beloved viewpoint overlooking the medieval town and the Léguer River valley. The warm colors, traditional architecture, and peaceful village scene evoke the romantic atmosphere that drew travelers to Brittany during the golden age of railway tourism.
