Original Bellagio, Lago di Como (Lake Como) 1966 exposition 25th International dog show. Linen backed, small format poster for the 25th Esposizione Internazional Caina. The image features a lady’s yellow dress and her hand holding the leash of her dog for this show. In the background you can see the blue of the lake and a small early fishing boat.

This exposition (dog show) was held in the city of Bellagio, which is known as the Pearl of Lake Como. Lake Como was created by glacers dating back to the last Ice Age, around 10,000 years ago. The lakes famous ‘Y’ shape was formed from the movement of an enormous glacier, which also displaced the huge mounds which now form the promontory, known as Bellagio which divides the two ‘legs’ of the lake.
