Original Swedish release poster for I Singapores kineskvarter (In Singapore’s Chinese Quarter), a 1921 silent-era adventure drama directed by Carl Boese and starring Aud Egede-Nissen. Issued as a lithographic one-sheet for the Swedish market, the design presents a stylized, angular depiction of a couple in tense embrace, rendered with simplified forms and tonal contrasts characteristic of early 1920s European graphic language, with affinities to emerging Expressionist aesthetics. Produced during the silent film era, a period from which comparatively few posters survive due to their ephemeral use and low survival rate. Printer not identified. Linen-backed and in very good condition, with professionally addressed original fold marks and no paper loss or staining.
