Description
This is an exceptional original lithograph vintage poster by renowned French artist Charles Loupot, created circa 1947 to advertise St. Raphael Quinquina, the classic French aperitif. The poster measures 10 x 12 inches and features the brand’s iconic “twin” characters—one red, one white—symbolizing the two varieties of St. Raphael made from mistelle (red or white) infused with cinchona bark, bitter orange, vanilla pods, cocoa beans, and aromatic herbs.
Charles Loupot (1892–1962) was a master of Art Deco advertising design, and this piece exemplifies his elegant style and graphic sophistication. The dynamic composition and bold character design make this a standout example of mid-20th-century French beverage advertising art.
