Description
Original very rare L’Image image created in 1897 by Henri Bellery-Desfontaines. Signed in the plate a h Bellery. This original L’Image is linen backed for protecting; excellent to mint condition, ready to frame. The artist signature is vertical, left side of the image. Other images he created he would sign with his entire name.
Currently this is one of the only copies we have been able to locate for sale, which should not be unusual since only 100 were printed.
The center image of a hand holding either a pencil or paint brush depicting the wood block style of printing. Art nouveau style flowers dress both the left and right size of this image.
