These rare images printed by the ‘father of color printing’ before the turn of the century are rare enough that we have not found any others for sale. Only 1050 copies of the image were printed in 1897 as a collection of color lithographs by foreign artists. Affiche de Theatre; Japanese stone lithographs printed by Chaix (Jules Cheret) in 1897 showing the works of ancient Japanese theater.
