Provenance & Background
Transports Aériens Intercontinentaux (TAI), founded in 1946, played a key role in expanding long-haul air travel routes between Europe, Africa, and the Far East. By the 1950s, the airline operated an advanced fleet including DC-3, DC-4, and DC-6 aircraft. This poster reflects the era’s optimism and creativity in aviation marketing, using a surreal and friendly visual language to suggest global connectivity. TAI later merged with UAT in 1963, marking the end of its independent identity.
Authenticity
This is an original vintage lithograph poster, not a reproduction. Professionally linen backed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
