Original poster: Sells & Gray Circus Great condition. Original linen backed. Sells & and Gray Circus. The poster features high wire and trapeze artists in the back ground. Beautiful ladies riding a black stallion and another on the trunk of an elephant. A lion and a tiger furiously growl, in the lower left, and the cheerful painted face clown in the lower right. Full lithograph. The exact date of this Sells & Gray Circus poster is not known.
From 1872 to 1932, a period of sixty years, the reader will note the Sells name was outstanding in circus annals. Sells Brothers, Forepaugh-Sells, Sells & Rentfrew, Sells & Gray, Sells & Downs, and Sells-Floto. Great names in the white top world that have gone but are not forgotten.
