Who Was Donn Arden?
Donn Arden transformed entertainment worldwide. He revolutionized Las Vegas showgirl aesthetics. He created the iconic image: statuesque dancers in sequins, feathers, and tall headdresses.
His Legacy:
- Founded the Lido de Paris show (Stardust, 1958–1991)
- Created the Jubilee! show (Bally’s)
- Opened the Desert Inn in 1950
- Built his retirement home Casa Lido in Palm Springs
Arden chose directing over performing. He mastered the art of spectacular dance shows.
