Description
JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE concert poster. is a rare, May 1968 Fillmore East–era original designed by David Byrd, created at the height of Hendrix’s career for a night when Hendrix performed two shows. Although the poster does not list it, Sly & The Family Stone opened for Hendrix, and the lineup’s relative newness is part of what makes this period so vivid—capturing the charged atmosphere of early rock stardom, talent colliding in real time.
Visually, Byrd’s design is often singled out as among his finest, and this very poster is noted as being featured in The Art of Rock (Plate Number 2.90). The typography and bold, psychedelic artwork reflect the era’s graphic punch while still feeling tightly composed and collector-focused. This example is described as very good to excellent condition, close to the quality levels that routinely draw strong attention at auction, making it an outstanding choice for a serious rock poster collection.
This is an Original Lithograph Vintage Rock Poster; it is not a reproduction. The Vintage Poster has been working with collectors around the world helping them with their original vintage poster collections.
